Even the cold smell makes it clear: this cigar is full-bodied. Dark chocolate paired with delicate notes of hay. After lighting, the first puff follows. I never smell the smoke itself beforehand – it’s simply too pungent for me. The smoke is voluminous on the palate and tastes of caramel and vanilla. The dark chocolate is only slightly present, but there are light orange notes. No spiciness, no pepper.
As I am used to Havanas, the draw is almost too good for me. Hardly any resistance is noticeable. Now I also notice that the cigar is very light, and I have doubts as to whether the investment was worth it.
In the second third – the ash has held until now, the burn is unfortunately irregular – the worries and the chocolate have disappeared. The smoke develops aromas of white pepper, apple and pineapple, with a hint of vanilla. Deliciously balanced.
The pepper increases in the last third. The cigar develops a fine sweetness until the end. Despite its dark dress, the cigar is never bitter and never too strong. A beautiful
pleasure.
